This article infuriates me.  For those of you who say false rape accusations have no severe consequences, read this.  This man was accused of raping his twin twenty-month-old daughters.  The children were taken away from him for six months (may not sound like much, but for children that small, that’s enough time for them to learn to talk).  The evidence?  A photograph.  A photograph of himself in the bath with his daughters.  This photograph, to be precise.

The reason I am so angry with this is simple: go do a google search of “mother in bath with child”.  Look at the results.  Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Do you see?  When a mother gets in the bath with her child (regardless of gender), it’s picturesque.  It’s art.  It’s endearing.

When a father takes that exact same position?  It’s rape.  It’s perverted.  It’s “sexually deviant”.  It’s justification enough to take his children away from him and to deprive them of their father.  No further substantiation, just a wild allegation from distant relatives and a nanny, with no basis in fact.

This isn’t just a miscarriage of justice, it’s a concise demonstration of misandry in action.  Not only was a father deprived of his children, two children were deprived of their father at a crucial point in their lives, all because people are too stupid not to be sexist twits.  What might even be worse is that the article and the video accompanying it frame it as an act of homophobia.  While that may have played some part in it — the whole “gays are perverts” stereotype — I sincerely doubt that the same scene would have played out if the photo were of a lesbian woman in the bath with her twin boys.

I am happy to help!  I went with “Sexist” instead of “Misandrist” since it is the same thing and “Sexist” has the word “sex” in it and that’s just plain ~*SEXY*~

Also, we shouldn’t be afraid of the label of “sexist” since it isn’t a bad thing when it’s women generalizing and hating men.
